The Department of International Business, Keimyung Adams College is searching for full-time faculties.

Position: Full-Time Faculty (Non-Tenure, Tenure Track)

Keimyung University is a prominent, well-established academic institution located in Daegu, South Korea.  Keimyung University was established by Presbyterian missionaries following the Korean War in 1954 to provide higher education with Christian values.  With over 26,000 students, including 740 international students, Keimyung is the nation’s 9th largest University.  Keimyung University also has one of the largest communities of international faculty in Korea, with more than 120 professors from all over the world.  Keimyung is strongly committed to supporting its community of international faculty.

Keimyung Adams College (KAC) is Keimyung’s international honors college. KAC offers degrees in International Business and International Relations to both Korean and international students, all in English. SELECTION CRITERIA

Required Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate is expected to be fully committed to achieving excellence in teaching and academia, able to complement existing faculty, and willing to collaborate with faculty from other colleges and departments as deemed appropriate.

Assistant/Associate Professor in Accounting

Applications are invited for appointment as a Assistant /Associate Professor in the Accounting at Department of International Business, Keimyung Adams College. Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Accounting, Finance or other related subjects, with potential for high-quality research and teaching.  The appointee is expected to teach undergraduate courses and publish high quality research.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The successful candidates for tenure-track positions will primarily be responsible for normal teaching load of minimum 9 hours per week, and also required to evaluate, advise undergraduate students, provide service to the college and community, and assist departmental activities.

The candidate must be able to teach the following courses:

Basic Accounting. Managerial Accounting, Accounting and Financial Ethics Accounting Information System      Intermediate Accounting                                              

Preferred Qualifications

Priority will be given to candidates who, on top of accounting courses, able to teach other courses in International Business. For example, preference will be given to a candidate whose primary field of teaching is Accounting and secondary field of teaching is Management. Therefore, in your cover letter please clearly state you primary and secondary teaching fields as well as all courses that you can teach.

Salary

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary ranging between approximately US$45,000~$60,000, negotiable and commensurate with rank, experience and qualification

Finalists will be required to submit the original copies of the above documentation and other relevant materials (e.g. Ph.D and Master degree dissertation, career certificates, letters of reference, etc)
